I thought it might be fun to share my Aussie Christmas playlist in case there were others out there who love the irreverent and sometimes sentimental charm of Christmas music that reflects the season we celebrate Christmas here in Australia - Summer.
Such a great list and so many songs I've never heard! I just listened to I Want A Hippopotamus for Christmas for the first time on the radio and I think it's my new favorite. 😂 I love a lot of the old classics like Nat King Cole (bought his album for myself this month!) Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. Pentatonix and Sia both have great Christmas albums. And one of my favorite songs is the The Boarshead from a Medieval/old traditional Christmas album my friend gave me!
Hearing the Hippopotamus song for the first time I love/hated it and now I love it :). I'll take a look at Sia and Pentatonix. Love the Boarshead Carol, I wrote about it in one of my posts for Yule (June/July). I'll add some links to all those wintry articles in the next article for everyone in the Northern Hemisphere.

hahaha I first heard the Hippopotamus song a few years ago, when the kids sang it in preschool - it's a gem!
Such a great article - thanks for all these recommendations!
Oh, it would have been great to listen to kids singing the Hippopotamus song! I might suggest it for the kids school next year.
